A central monument in Paris, the Panthéon is a necropolis dedicated to the great men of the French Republic. The crypt contains the tombs of Rousseau, Voltaire,Émile Zola, Jean Moulin, Louis Braille, René Cassin, Victor Schœlcher, Jean Monnet, Marie Curie and Simone Veil. In all, more than 80 people are buried in this monument.
This building, located in the Latin Quarter, should have housed the shrine of Saint Geneviève. However, during the French Revolution, the site was given a new mission: to honor the great figures of French history.
To make this solemn place more accessible to children, the Panthéon is organizing a number of fun activities open to all, this weekend of October 21 and 22, 2023, on the occasion of the Monument Jeu d'enfant event.
This fun and educational event enables the youngest visitors to discover the national monuments of Paris and the Île-de-France region, through tours, workshops and shows adapted to young visitors. Please note that reservations are required to take part in this family event.
Bring the whole family to discover the emblematic architecture of this incredible monument steeped in history! And don't miss out on the other activities organized in the capital's various monuments.
