Extreme music fans can smile. In the summer of 2026, there will still be plenty of musical events dedicated to metal, led by Hellfest in Clisson and Motocultor in Carhaix.
For fans of this musical genre living in the Grand Est region, here's some news to put a smile on your face. Nancy Open Air confirms its return and organizes the third edition of its special metal weekend! Simply named"Heavy Weekend", this festival is once again likely to arouse the curiosity of many metalheads, expected in Maxéville from Friday June 5 to Sunday June 7, 2026.
For three days, several groups and artists will take the stage one after the other on a single platform, at the Zénith du Grand Nancy. On the program? Gojira, who are billed for the Heavy Week-end on Saturday, June 6, for their “unique concert in France” in 2026, as noted. The Swedish outfit Sabaton will join in on Friday, June 5, to kick off the festival with their power metal. Finally, wrapping things up on Sunday, June 7, are the German act Electric Callboy.
And that's not all, with Nova Twins, Trivium, Three Days Grace as well as the Cavalera brothers also on the lineup, along with Savatage and Tobias Sammet's Avantasia. The Tickets are available at www.heavyweekend.live.
