It's THE festival that all metalheads look forward to every summer. This year, Hellfest returns to Clisson on Thursday June 19, Friday June 20, Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22, 2025, for four new days and evenings of hard rock, thrash metal, black metal, heavy metal, doom, classic rock, punk and alternative rock.
Once again this year, Hellfest promises festival-goers a healthy dose of extreme music, with a host of major names in the genre, including Judas Priest, Korn, Linkin Park, Epica, Cypress Hill, Within Temptation, The Hu and Heilung! These world-renowned bands can be seen this summer on Mainstages 1 & 2. Hellfest also features four other stages, including the Warzone , dedicated to punk and hardcore! This is located not far from the huge sculpture erected in tribute to Lemmy Kilmister.
If you're a fan of these different musical styles, then you're likely to spend a good part of Hellfest in front of the Warzone. That's why we've selected 5 bands and artists for you to see this summer in the Warzone at this new edition of Hellfest.
There's sure to be a big crowd in front of the Warzone on June 20 at around 8.40pm. That's when Les Garçons Bouchers take to the stage. The famous French band, founded in 1986, is set to pay a fitting tribute to its memorable former member François Hadji-Lazaro, who died in 2023 at the age of 66.
UK punk is set to reverberate through the Warzone on June 20 with the eagerly-awaited set of The Damned. A legendary British punk band, led by singer Dave Vanian, The Damned are still rocking out their cult tracks, 50 years after their debut on the London scene. And the energy is still there!
British punk continues at the Warzone on Friday night with the exceptional appearance of the Sex Pistols. Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glenn Matlock, three former members of the legendary British band, will be back on the road, with the inescapable and overexcited Frank Carter as frontman! Together, they hope to take you back in time with a few good old songs from"Nevermind The Bollock's, Here's The Sex Pistols". So, what's the value of this reformation? Verdict on June 20 at 1.00 a.m.!
American band Turnstile have come a long way since their Baltimore debut in 2010. The combo has played a string of concerts in North America and Europe, and released four albums, including"Never Enough", their latest. A record that Turnstile will be presenting live to French audiences during their set on June 21 at the Warzone.
Do you know Calcine? If not, head to the Warzone on June 22 to discover the explosive energy of this French combo. With their powerful hip-hop-tinged hardcore, Calcine are sure to create some wild pogos and circle pits on Sunday morning!
