Line 14 of the Paris metro opened in 1998, making it the first new metro line in almost half a century. It was also the first fully automated line in the RATP public transport network. It links north-west Paris from Mairie de Saint-Ouen station to the south-east of the capital, with a terminus at Olympiades in the 13th arrondissement, all the way through central Paris. In addition to the City of Light, it also serves Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine in Seine-Saint-Denis and Clichy-la-Garenne in Hauts-de-Seine.
With a total of 13 stations on a 14.5km route, line 14 of the Paris metro connects to three major Paris stations: Gare de Lyon, Gare Saint-Lazare and Gare de Bercy. It also offers connections with lines 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 of the Paris metro, as well as RER lines A, B, C, D and E. On its Paris section, metro line 14 passes through the 1st, 4th, 8th, 12th, 13th and 17th arrondissements of Paris, serving many points of interest.
From Pyramide station, you can reach the Louvre Museum, the Comédie Française, the Palais-Royal gardens and the Opera district, with its sublime view of theOpera Garnier. At Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand, you'll find the French National Library, while Olympiades station brings you closer to Paris' Asian quarter. Bercy and Cour Saint-Emilion stations are close to Bercy Village and its open-air shopping mall, and to theAccor Arena with its year-round ice rink, concerts and events. Finally, Porte de Clichy is now home to the new Paris District Court.
