Located on the right bank of the Seine, Paris's 12th arrondissement is a peaceful, residential area that's nonetheless bursting with life! Here, you'll find many little-known tourist treasures, including the Coulée Verte, a stroll along the old Petite Ceinture railroad line that links Bastille to Vincennes, passing over the Viaduc des Arts, Paris's stronghold of craftsmanship and design. In Bercy, you'll find the bustling Accor Arena (with its year-round ice rink) and its many concerts, as well as BercyVillage, the charming shopping alley.
Film buffs flock to the Cinémathèque Française, families set off to conquer the Musée des Arts Forains, while the Porte Dorée is the place to go green. There, a palace at its heart reveals a museum dedicated to immigration, as well as a tropical aquarium. This is the transition between urban Paris and the tranquility of bois de Vincennes, part of the 12th arrondissement.
It's full of treasures to discover. On sunny days, the Lac de Daumesnil is the meeting point for families on picnics, while on the water, numerous boats await you for a romantic stroll with friends or lovers under the romantic kiosk. The mysterious Jardin d'Agronomie Tropicale (Tropical Agronomy Garden) takes us back to the vestiges of the Colonial Exhibition, as does the Grande Pagode (Great Pagoda).
