On the occasion of the National Day 2026, France comes alive with traditional celebrations: fireworks, military parades, republican picnics, popular balls and other festive events. But Paris isn’t the only city rolling out the red carpet; numerous towns in the Île-de-France region are lining up an incredible program!
Over in the Val-de-Marne (94), in the charming town of Choisy-le-Roi, you’ll be treated to a pyrotechnic show launched from the banks, on July 13, 2026. But in the meantime, why not take a stroll through the town?
The Parc de la Mairie, the former estate of Louis XV's royal château, has preserved the remains of its two entrance pavilions, while the former presbytery, now home to the Tourist Office, offers a 3D reconstruction of the royal estate! And don't forget theParc des Gondoles and its animal farm, or the Faïencerie de Choisy-le-Roi, an old factory founded in 1805.
July 13, 2026, from 7:00 PM — Parc de la Grande Demoiselle and Quai Fernand Dupuy
As every year, to mark Bastille Day, the City of Choisy-le-Roi aims to dazzle you with a festive, welcoming program. This year the event is set for Monday, July 13, with a host of surprises at several city sites. It’s the perfect moment to enjoy, with family or friends, one of the summer’s biggest highlights.
Starting at 7 p.m., come enjoy a “guinguette” evening in the Parc de la Grande Mademoiselle, transformed for the occasion into a vast festive space. On site, a host of activities, games for young and old (mölkky, wooden games, etc.), and other surprises await in a warm, friendly atmosphere. All set to a musical backdrop with the Mixtura group, bringing you a journey through their Latin-inspired sound. For food, two food trucks (pizzas, crepes, and sweet-and-savoury waffles) will be on hand to treat your taste buds. A perfect way to tide you over until night falls!
To cap off an evening of celebration, the traditional fireworks display will light up the sky at 11:30 p.m., launched from the banks of the Seine in front of the Aragon Media Library. With the theme “Along the Seine,” the show is billed as a tribute to the river and an invitation to look up and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the lights and their reflections.
