Due to the fire risk and the orange heatwave alert in Val-d'Oise, the town hall of Herblay-sur-Seine has decided, "as a precaution," to cancel the fireworks planned for July 13. "The evening is cancelled and the fireworks will be rescheduled for another occasion before the end of the year," the city said in a press release.
Every year, France celebrates its national holiday around July 14th. On this occasion, fireworks displays, popular balls and other traditional festivities take place all over France.

A festive evening will get underway with the distribution of lanterns in the Simone Veil Hall, before the departure of the illuminated parade heading toward the banks of the Seine. There, the traditional fireworks will light up the sky for the delight of young and old alike.
The festivities will continue afterwards at the Town Hall Park with a lively musical evening hosted by a DJ, in a warm and summery atmosphere.
