This year, Printemps Haussmann unveils its"Gift" Yule log , designed by Bryan Esposito, the department store's new Pastry Chef. Always in search oforiginality, the chef likes to surprise us with unexpected combinations. A native of the South of France, it's once again the sun that awakens our taste buds at the end of the Christmas meal.
For Christmas 2023, he has created a log called"Le Cadeau". Celebrating the festive season under the theme"Noël en papier, les vœux sont exauces" (Christmas on paper, wishes granted), Printemps has made paper the preferred messenger of wishes. Bryan Esposito has interpreted this theme with delicacy and tradition. His log features numerous references to the 13 desserts of the South of France, his native land. Dressed in a sheet of white chocolate decorated with the motifs of the famous Printemps dome, this log is as much an ode to culinary traditions as it is to our heritage.
What's inside this marvellous log?
Finally, a gourmet detail: the log rests on a bar of "Alto El Sol" 65% Peruvian Chocolate, a little pleasure to share.
But who is the artisan behind this delicacy? Since September 2023, Bryan Esposito has been marveling at his boldness and creativity, which can be seen in the desserts of 100% Printemps food concepts such as the Bleu Coupole restaurant and Café Vert. His source of inspiration? His Provençal roots, his childhood memories of Avignon, and his experiences working with great chefs like Pierre Hermé at Ladurée.
All that's left to do is enjoy this log. Available to eat in or take away from December 4 to 24, 2023 (RDC Printemps Femme and restaurant Bleu Coupole), it can delight up to 8 guests for 80€.
