Wondering whatChristmas 2025 has in store for you? Wait until you see theYule logsatLa Grande Épicerie de Paris—you're sure to fall in love with one of them!
For the holiday season, the magical atmosphere of Eastern Christmas markets is coming to the windows of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, right down to the pastry counters where pastry chef Thibault Leroy and his team from the Rue de Sèvres laboratory unveil their exclusive creations. Yule logs, of course, to share or in individual sizes, but also an elegant Christmas cake, all to be enjoyed with the family. In terms of flavors, there is chocolate, caramel, praline, vanilla... and a touch of mischief. The hardest part will be choosing! Shall we reveal them to you?
The Christmas Cake: a chalet to eat
The star of the season? A chalet made of Peruvian milkchocolate , topped with a snow-covered white chocolate roof, decorated with little shutters, a pretzel, and a red bow. Next to it, a pistachio-dusted Christmas tree and a gingerbread man enhance this magical, nostalgic setting, ready to take pride of place at your festive table.
Beneath a deep, shiny black glaze lie several layers of delicious treats: a crispy pretzel biscuit base, a moist vanilla cake biscuit, a crunchy praline-pretzel layer, a creamy tonka bean caramel layer, and a 60% milk chocolate mousse. The interplay of textures—crunchy, melt-in-the-mouth, crisp—is what makes this multi-stage dessert so charming. To enjoy the signature cake, simply slide it out of the chalet, then bite into the chocolate structure immediately or over the following days. A pleasure to handle as much as to savor! Created in collaboration with chocolatier Nicolas Berger, this creation is sure to get everyone around the table talking!
The festive cake for 8 guests, and its individual format, available at the pastry counters from November 27 to December 31, 2025.
Chocolate log: intense and mischievous
For those who love desserts with character, this log cake gives pride of place to cocoa. On a crispy cocoa shortbread base, there is a chocolate cake biscuit, crispy cocoa nibs, Namelaka cream with 65% Ecuadorian chocolate (with light notes of spice) and 60% Madagascar milk chocolate mousse. Small dots of whipped ganache punctuate the whole, while dark chocolate chalet facades adorn the sides. Melt-in-the-mouth, balanced, with just the right intensity... a dessert to be savored slowly, down to the last spoonful.
Vanilla lovers will find it hard to resist... The vanilla and pecan log is a real favorite: creamy, extremely sweet, and deliciously indulgent. Tanzanian vanilla unfolds in a moist sponge cake, a creamy layer, a layer of dulce de leche, and a light mousse, enhanced by the crunch of roasted pecans. Pecan also features in a crunchy praline at the heart of the log and in the crisp shortbread base. To decorate it all, white chocolate chalets adorn the sides. A comforting and refined interplay of textures that will melt the hearts of young and old alike—and make you want to prolong the dessert a little longer.
Yule logs for 6 guests and individual portions are available at the pastry counters from December 4 to 31, 2025.

The three creations—thechocolate chalet, the chocolate log, and the vanilla-pecan log —are available in individual or sharing sizes. Playful, graphic, and deliciously nostalgic, these treats bring the spirit of Christmas markets to your table: to bite into, to admire... and to savor.
