This winter, as Paris and Île-de-France light up with festive cheer, cinema also takes center stage with Christmas-themed entertainment. Throughout the holiday season, the Domaine of Château de Dampierre in the Yvelines (78) region presents a special program called Dampierre Goes to the Movies.
From December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the afternoons will feel like Christmas movie marathons, featuring five holiday classics screened especially for the occasion. A perfect activity to enjoy between winter outings, reconnecting with the timeless films that have become a part of holiday traditions for so many years.
Now showing, How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be screened on December 20th, 26th, and 31st at 3 pm. The Chronicles of Narnia is scheduled for December 21st and 30th, as well as January 4th at 3 pm. Scrooge’s Funny Christmas makes a return on December 22nd and 29th at 3 pm. Frozen is played on December 23rd, 28th, and January 3rd at 3 pm. Lastly, Anastasia rounds out the lineup with showings on December 24th, 27th, and January 2nd at 3 pm.
While the interior of the castle is currently undergoing restoration, the estate remains accessible to visitors: the 90 hectares of gardens have reopened to the public, providing a stunning setting for year-end outings. Combining heritage, outdoor spaces, and Christmas movies, this program perfectly complements the festive activities in Île-de-France. A joyful holiday break, filled with classic films to enjoy throughout the season.
