For Easter 2026, the Jade Genin Chocolaterie Parisienne, based in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, along the Opéra avenue, offers far more than a simple lineup of Easter chocolates. With Renaissances de Femmes, the chef presents three chocolate Easter eggs that are both artistic and activist, to be discovered at 33 Avenue de l’Opéra.
As the daughter of Jacques Genin, Jade has inherited a passion for chocolate and embraces it with a feminist, cultivated sensibility that is uniquely hers. For this collection, she starts from a simple yet deep question: what does it mean to be reborn, in real life, for a woman? Not in mythological or religious terms, but through the intimate experience of an injury endured and a consciously rebuilt self. Three possible answers, three chocolate works.
The first piece, L'Acceptation, draws on kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing cracks with gold so they become part of the beauty. What was broken becomes even more precious. The egg is filled with a praline almond and jasmine flower mix, with the jasmine blooms sourced from Maison des Trois Thés, founded by Maître Tseng, the first female Tea Master in Chinese history. A detail that is far from accidental. Dimensions: 20 x 12 x 8 cm, 550 g, €95.
The second egg, La Rupture, pays tribute to Lucio Fontana, the artist famed for slashing his canvases with a knife—a radical gesture that became a symbol of freedom in modern art. La Rupture draws on those torn works, brutally free. Inside, a Tahiti almond-rum and vanilla praline, with rum sourced in Jamaica near Hampden Estate, a hallmark of the Jade Genin House for its bold character. 14 x 8 x 6 cm, 300 g, 75 euros.
Finally, La Mue, the most delicate of the three, borrows its shapes from the lacework of Yves Saint-Laurent: a fine, translucent shell designed to reveal the hidden essence it conceals. It is filled with a praline studded with raw cacao beans, sourced in Honduras, untreated, to bare the material. 8 x 4 x 2.5 cm, 70 g, 35 euros.
Alongside these three flagship pieces, the House also presents its must-have Easter egg-hunt creations, all hand-painted and filled with praline or gold leaf. This year’s star is the frog Winaé, chosen for its symbolic power: the frog is one of the animals that most vividly embodies transformation, from tadpole to land-dwelling creature.
She’s joined by the Sixtine oyster, the fishmonger Bulla, and the rabbit Turtoise. Colorful characters, priced from 12 to 60 euros, who will thrill both kids and collectors of fine chocolate figurines.
The intense dark chocolate from Genin runs to depths rarely seen in Parisian chocolateries—never sweet, always precise. We especially admire the coherence of the range: each egg really tells a story, and you feel it from the very first bite.
The Renaissances de Femmes collection is now in store at Jade Genin, 33 Avenue de l’Opéra, Paris 2nd arrondissement (just steps from the Opéra Garnier), starting March 16, 2026. You’ll also find it featured in our roundup of the best Easter chocolates in Paris 2026.
Our take: a collection that goes far beyond mere indulgence, touching something intimate. It speaks as much to lovers of exceptional artisanal chocolate as to curious minds seeking a rich cultural discovery. A lovely Easter gift to give—or to treat yourself.
