For the Journées du Patrimoine, the Hôtel de Talleyrand, home to the Georges C. Marshall Center welcomes you to a wonderful program on Sunday, September 21, 2025. A great opportunity to discover this sublime private mansion.

The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) invite us to explore our heritage and culture from every angle over an exceptional weekend. Every year, this not-to-be-missed cultural event offers a packed program of visits, events and workshops, often free of charge, at some of our finest heritage sites.

In Paris and the Ile-de-France region, a wide range of venues will be taking part, from must-see monuments to private and even secret locations. The event returns for a dynamic 42nd edition on the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2025.

On this occasion, the curious will be able to discover the Hôtel de Talleyrand, a sublime Neo-classical mansion dating from the 18th century. Also known as theHôtel Saint-Florentin, this emblematic building became the property of the United States government in 1950. It was here that Paul Child, diplomat and husband of the famous Julia Child, a student at Le Cordon Bleu Paris in 1951, worked. The first woman to introduce the techniques taught at the institute to American television, she introduced America to French gastronomy.
