For this 42nd edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, this emblematic monument on the Place de la Concorde will be opening its doors to you on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September 2025. And you might as well say it straight away, but you're in for an eyeful as you discover this monument in the days of the Garde-meuble de la Couronne, or the Al Thani Collection, which brings together a number of masterpieces from Antiquity to the present day. Visits to theHôtel de la Marine are also an opportunity to admire the sumptuous state rooms and enjoy an exceptional, unobstructed view of the Place de la Concorde from the loggia.

Created in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the King's first architect, theHôtel de la Marine housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne until 1798, when it became the headquarters of the Ministry and then the Naval Staff for over two hundred years.
