The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are back in Paris, and for the occasion, the Ecole Alsacienne in the 6th arrondissement is exceptionally opening its doors and unveiling its program for the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2025. On the menu for this exceptional opening: tours of our architectural heritage!

Once again this year, the Journées du Patrimoine return to Paris and the Île-de-France region for an eventful 42nd edition. Every year, on the third weekend in September, this flagship event brightens up the holiday season for Parisians. Tourists and locals alike are invited to take over the most beautiful treasures of our heritage to enjoy a special program.

Museums, monuments, castles, churches, hospitals, ministries, embassies and much more - many places play their part every year. On the menu: guided or self-guided tours, workshops for young and old, original events... and it's often all free! Perfect for exploring our heritage from every angle.

Schools are also in the spotlight. Yes, Parisian schools sometimes contain treasures and historical relics that you'd be hard pressed to discover outside of these special occasions. In the 6th arrondissement, you'll find a private school that may well surprise you. TheÉcole Alsacienne is known for its active pedagogy, and is spread over several buildings, including an eclectic brick and stone mansion. Want to find out more?
