The Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais Church in Paris invites visitors to the 2026 Heritage Days to discover the venue on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, through a series of engaging tours.

Among the city’s finest Parisian churches, some open their doors for Heritage Days. This year, the Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais Church invites you to the weekend of Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, with a rich program.

Located opposite the Hôtel de Ville, theSaint-Gervais-Saint-Protais church is a little-known gem of Parisian heritage. Its origins date back to a consecration in 1420, and it took almost 150 years to give it the appearance we know today. With its imposing western facade completed in 1621, it was to inspire other churches in the capital.

You'll be amazed by the interior, which, despite the trials of time and history, has retained its original charm. Its flamboyant Gothic architecture places it among the Renaissance churches of Paris, such as Saint-Étienne-du-Mont. And what about the 16th-century choir stalls or the magnificent 16th-century stained glass windows, probably the work of Jean Cousin and Jean Chastellain?

To discover all these treasures, join us on the third weekend of September to take advantage of the events organized for the Journées du Patrimoine in Paris.
