Rentilly Cultural Park - Michel Chartier

  • Exhibition "Beautiful Trees"

Located in the heart of the Rentilly – Michel Chartier Cultural Park, the château—home to the intercommunal museum—blends into its surroundings; it recedes to give pride of place to the trees, which reflect off its mirror-smooth facade. At the museum’s core, the Beaux-Arbres exhibition grants them a starring role, reflecting them and welcoming them. Here, the collections—centered in particular on the Neo-Impressionist works of the Lagny Group and late-19th-century landscape painting—dialogue with contemporary pieces that explore the contradictory relationships we cultivate with trees today—sometimes tranquil, sometimes uneasy—raising questions about our relation to the world.

Exhibition designed and organized by the château de Rentilly, intercommunal museum.

    Schedule: Friday, September 18, 2026 — 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM | Saturday, September 19, 2026 — 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM | Sunday, September 20, 2026 — 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

  • The Art Times

Installed on the castle’s second floor, the arts sessions put visual art in the spotlight through the work of a guest artist. Here, it’s your turn to play: step into the shoes of an artist, whether you’re young or old, with friends or family. The concept is simple: following a protocol laid out by this season’s invited artist, you help create a shared artwork and, in the process, glimpse a distinctive artistic universe. For this autumn–winter, Parc culturel de Rentilly – Michel Chartier hands the keys of the arts sessions to Cécile Davidovici. A true all‑round artist, her path has led her to embroidery, which she now practices and invites you to discover. On a loom or on embroidery hoops, come, stitch by stitch, and watch the collective piece grow. Stay curious and head to the castle to discover the arts sessions that are waiting for you.

  • The children's opening night

The children’s opening is now a September staple at the Parc culturel de Rentilly – Michel Chartier. This Sunday morning, the kids—and only the kids—are the museum’s honorary guests, invited to explore, with the mediation team, the brand-new exhibition dedicated to trees. They wander through the galleries, discover the works, and, as budding artists, create their own forest. The event, as artistic as it is convivial, will close with a juice alongside their parents.

  • Twenty years of Rentilly Cultural Park — Michel Chartier: The Recital

The international opera singer Barbara Hopkins is back for a special date! And it’s at the Parc culturel de Rentilly – Michel Chartier that she has reserved this fabulous moment, blending grace and talent. But the scheming of the pianist who accompanies her, Maestro Patrick, isn’t done yet! Passionate performers, they push boundaries and break the rules without meaning to. When two artists who are as different as can be have to harmonize, when one’s composure clashes with the other’s mischief, and when disaster is never far away, you’re promised a show full of joy and good humor not to be missed… thus, The Récital must go on!
