During these Heritage Days 2026, the Coudurier Armory opens its doors to the curious and the enthusiasts. Meet us on Sunday, September 20, to discover the capital's oldest armory.

Craving a tour of a castle, an artist’s studio, backstage at a theatre, or a railway control room? Fortunately, a major event makes all of these spots accessible. Grab the chance with Journées du Patrimoine to explore Paris and the Île-de-France. Over an entire weekend, from 19 au 20 septembre 2026, thousands of historic sites fling open their doors to the public.

In the capital, options abound. Left Bank or Right Bank, from the Eiffel Tower to Place de la Bastille, hundreds of sites are waiting for the curious. There’s truly something for every taste: whether you’re into fashion, art, trains, history, cinema, or the judiciary, you’ll surely find an outing that’s just right for you.

And if you're into sport? Then head to the Latin Quarter to visit the oldest fencing hall in Paris. Founded in 1886, the venue is steeped in history and tradition. Within these walls, generations of fencers have learned the art of the foil, sabre, or épée.

The Heritage Days program at the Coudurier Armory:

Paris's oldest fencing hall, a sanctuary of academic fencing, opens its doors to the public for the first time. Founded in 1886 by Master Alexandre Coudurier, it preserves and passes on the spirit and craft of fencing, rooted in courtesy and elegance.
