Normally, parking is charged on weekdays, from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 8pm. But on this bank holiday, Parisians - and anyone planning to visit the capital on Saturday, November 11 - will be able to take advantage of free parking spaces throughout the city. To make sure you don't have to pay for your parking space, take a look at the nearestparking meter: it should display a yellow dot.
This measure is also being introduced occasionally on days when pollution levels are too high in the capital. The aim? To encourage residents to use public transport more often on these days, in order to reduce emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere.
