In Seine-Saint-Denis, several towns and municipalities commemorate the November 11 armistice with ceremonies open to the public. Here are the events to experience near you on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
More than a hundred years ago, the warring nations signedthe armistice, bringing an end to one of the most devastating wars in history. On November 11, 1918, the guns of World War I finally fell silent. This day is celebrated in France and has been an official holiday since 1922. This national holiday commemorates the soldiers and victims of war, while reminding us of the importance of preserving peace.
To this end, many municipalities in France are organizing ceremonies open to all on November 11, 2025. Citizens are often invited to gather around war memorials erected in towns and villages to commemorate the names and memory of those who defended the country.
In Paris, this commemoration is held atthe Arc de Triomphe, in front of the flame of the Unknown Soldier. In Seine-Saint-Denis, several municipalities are organizing similar events throughout the day. These commemorations are open to all. Here are the programs announced in the municipalities of the 93rd arrondissement.
