Several municipalities in the Yvelines department are organizing commemorations and events open to all on November 11, 2025: find out what's happening near you.
Located west of Paris, the Yvelines department has no fewer than 259 municipalities, some very urban, others known for their natural surroundings. On November 11, 2025, these towns and villages in the Paris region will all come together around the same history and the same program.
On November 11, in France, we celebratethe armistice of World War I, the end of the fighting in a war that devastated Europe at the beginning of the 20th century. This day became a national holiday in 1922, a day dedicated to the memory of veterans and victims of this war.
To pay tribute to these soldiers and civilians who died for their country, many municipalities organize commemorations in cemeteries and in front of war memorials. These ceremonies serve to preserve the memory of this period and the need to preserve peace. In Paris, associations and the President of the Republic gather in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier .
And in the Yvelines? Each town organizes its own commemoration. Discover the program for the largest towns in the department.
