Ready to start planning your summer vacation? Then... Off you go! The very first tickets go on sale in mid-March, on Wednesday 13th, for the period July to December.

Looking for a vacation? The Société nationale du chemin de fer (SNCF, editor's note) is putting tickets on sale this Wednesday, March 13, 2024, for the summer vacations starting July 5, 2024. Although the ticket office is due to open in the morning, the exact time is not yet known, so get ready!

After having pre-opened ticketing for trains scheduled from May 23 to July 5, the SNCF is opening this Wednesday, March 13, the long-awaited ticketing for the summer vacations, when many French people take one or more weeks off to go on vacation or with friends.

Whether on the TGV INOUI trains, the Intercités, to Europe or even with the low-cost OUIGO trains, all tickets will be available for sale on March 14, 2024. With several hundred destinations in France and Europe, ticketing for this summer's travels will operate as SNCF is accustomed to, on a "first come, first served" basis. So you'll have to be quick if you want to get your tickets, because chances are they'll be snapped up quickly (at least, the cheapest seats). This year, the school summer vacations start on July 5 and end on September 1, with the start of the new school year on Monday September 2 for everyone!
