Chinese New Year - Lunar 2025 in Paris: parking restrictions in the 13th arrondissement

Due to the Chinese Lunar New Year 2025 parade scheduled for this Sunday, the Préfecture de Police has announced a change in parking regulations in several lanes of Paris's 13th arrondissement. Find out more about these restrictions, scheduled from the evening of February 8 to the end of the day on February 9.

As every year, the 13th arrondissement of Paris prepares to live to the rhythm of a great festive parade on the occasion of Chinese New Year - Lunar. This year, under the sign of the Snake, the festivities began at the end of January, with a rich and varied program in Paris.

But if there's one event that many people look forward to, it's the traditional 13th arrondissement parade. Considered the largest in the capital, this parade is not to be missed this Sunday, February 9, 2025.

To ensure that the event runs smoothly, the Préfecture de police de Paris has issued a decree temporarily modifying parking conditions in several streets in the 13th arrondissement.

In detail, the Préfecture de police has announced that " parking for all motor vehicles will be prohibited from 10pm on February 8, 2025 until 6pm on February 9, 2025, in the following streets and sections of streets in the 13th arrondissement of Paris ":

  • avenue d'Ivry, from boulevard Masséna to rue de Tolbiac ;
  • avenue de Choisy, from rue de Tolbiac to boulevard Masséna ;
  • boulevard Masséna, from avenue de Choisy to avenue d'Ivry;
  • rue Nationale, from N°3 to boulevard Masséna;
  • rue Regnault, from N°113 to avenue d'Ivry;
  • rue de la Pointe d'Ivry in its entirety;
  • rue Baudricourt, from N°70 to avenue de Choisy;
  • rue Aumont, from N°7 of this road to avenu d'Ivry ;
  • rue Auguste Perret, from N°2 to avenue de Choisy;
  • rue de la Vistule, from N°3 to avenue de Choisy;
  • rue Philibert Lucot, from N°3 to avenue de Choisy
  • rue des Malmaisons, from N°3 to avenue de Choisy;
  • rue Caillaux, from N°1 to avenue de Choisy ;
  • rue Lachelier, from N°9 to boulevard Masséna;
  • rue Émile-Levassor, from N°3 of this road to boulevard Masséna.

The Préfecture de Police reminds us that in the event of a violation, the vehicles concerned may be immobilized and impounded.
