With the arrival of spring and warmer weather, racing is back in full swing in the capital. While we wait for the Paris half marathon and then the Paris marathon, let's take a look at the Paris Duathlon. The concept? Combine running and cycling in a team time trial in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne. For the occasion, athletes will have to complete a five-kilometer run, followed by a 20-kilometer bike ride, and finish with a 2.5-kilometer run.
To ensure the smooth running of this sporting event, scheduled for Sunday March 16, 2025, the Préfecture de police de Paris has issued a decree temporarily modifying traffic in the Bois de Boulogne, and more specifically " on the cycle ring around the Hippodrome de Longchamp ".
On March 16th, between 9am and 4pm, all types of vehicles will be banned from the following streets in the 16th arrondissement of Paris:
The order published by the Préfecture de Police specifies that " vehicles used to commit these offences may be immobilized and impounded ".
