Only a few days to go before the Centre Pompidou's permanent collection rooms close. Located on levels 4 and 5 of the building, these spaces will cease to welcome the public from the evening of Monday March 10, 2025, for a period of five years. To mark the occasion, Beaubourg is offering a festive weekend of free events.

Following the closure of the auditoriums last January and that of the Bpi on March 2, the Centre Pompidou is announcing the closure of the rooms dedicated to the permanent collections. This will take place on Monday evening , March 10, 2025. This is a new milestone for the cultural building, which is due to close its doors to the public in September, for a period of 5 years.

Beaubourg is to undergo major renovation work. Scheduled to last until 2030, this major project will involve " renovating and removing asbestos from all facades, ensuring fire safety, improving accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and optimizing the energy efficiency of the entire building ".

Pending the start of construction in the autumn, the Centre Pompidou is gradually closing its various areas. The contemporary collection (level 4) features monumental and immersive works, artist monographs and new acquisitions or donations.
