A first-of-its-kind monument to honor the champions of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games: that's what Anne Hidalgo announced on May 26, 2025, as part of the Paris en Seine festival.

The City of Paris wants to rekindle theOlympic spirit in Paris, and bring us back to the festive and popular atmosphere that animated the capital during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. So, one year after the Games, several events are being organized in the City of Light throughout the summer: sports initiations, races, festive and cultural gatherings...

But that's not all! The Olympic spirit is also embodied in a monument to champions, a permanent memorial inaugurated this year in Paris. The monument pays tribute to the French athletes who won medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. 64 medals for the Olympians, 75 for the Paratroopers: the monument will have to be large enough to accommodate the names of all these champions!

Léon Marchand, Teddy Riner, Aurélie Aubert, Alexandre Léauté, Félix Lebrun, Manon Apithy-Brunet, the French judo and rugby sevens teams... After receiving the Légion d'Honneur, these athletes are once again being honored with this monument, due to be inaugurated in the summer of 2025.

The exact location of the champions' monument will be revealed on July 26, the anniversary of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on the Seine. On this occasion, several other festive and commemorative events are also scheduled to take place in the capital.
