Bison Futé forecasts for the Pentecost weekend, June 6-9, 2025 in France

The Whitsun weekend is the last long weekend before the summer vacations, and is therefore likely to see a large number of leisure trips. Destinations are generally short to medium distances from home. Coastal areas will be favored, and traffic will be difficult, especially if the weather is favorable. The routes linking leisure destinations to nearby major conurbations will see heavy traffic, not only at the start and end of the colorful days, but also on Sundays for day trips. Weekend departures are expected to be spread between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, to a lesser extent.

Friday June 6 should be a very busy day in both directions. Difficulties could start in mid-afternoon and last until early evening.

In the outbound direction, the day is classified as red at national level. Traffic is expected to be very heavy on routes to the north-eastern borders (A25, A31 and A4), as well as those serving the Normandy coast (A13) and the south-eastern quarter (A7, A75, A8, A50, A57).In the Paris region, from late morning onwards, traffic will become very heavy towards the toll gates of the A10 and A6 freeways, where the first slowdowns are expected, as well as on the freeways that converge there, notably the A86 and A6b. By mid-afternoon, the increase in traffic on the A10 and A6 freeways, combined with commuter traffic, could lead to persistent traffic difficulties until late evening. The A13 freeway is also likely to experience slowdowns from mid-afternoon onwards.

In the return direction, roads from border countries (A16, A22, A2, A1, A31) and the Mediterranean Arc (A8, A7, A50, A57, A54) will be very busy.
