Hot ahead, very hot! While the Île-de-France region is under a red heatwave alert on Tuesday July 1 and Wednesday July 2, 2025, with temperatures soaring to 40°C in Paris, the Iron Lady is adapting to the intense heat wave.
Faced with scorching weather and already sweltering temperatures on the ground, needless to say, it's a furnace at the top of the Eiffel Tower... As a precautionary measure, the top of the Tower has been closed to the public until Wednesday July 2 inclusive. This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of visitors and on-site teams alike. Ticket holders to the summit will be automatically reimbursed for services not provided, including guided tours. A word of advice: check your mailbox for practical details.
The good news is that the 1st and 2nd floors are still open to visitors. And to prevent heatstroke, fountains are available in the aisles leading to the forecourt. So stay hydrated, protect yourself from the sun, and adapt your plans!
While schools are advising parents to keep their children cool, the Eiffel Tower is also playing it safe.
