Paris Ekiden: traffic and parking restrictions this Sunday

The Paris Ekiden is back on November 2, 2025, with a route along the Seine. To ensure that this famous relay race runs smoothly, the Paris Police Prefecture has announced traffic and parking restrictions on several roads in the capital this Sunday. Here are the details.

A new edition of the now famous relay race,the Ekiden de Paris. The foot race, which will start at Quai Jacques Chirac, will run along the Seine, passing by the Bir-Hakeim bridge, the Georges Pompidou road and the Pont des Invalides.

However, the organization ofthe Ekiden will not be without consequences for some motorists. In order to ensure the smooth running of this race, the Paris Police Prefecture has issued a decree temporarily modifying parking and traffic on Sunday, November 2, 2025, on certain roads in the capital.

Motor vehicle parking is prohibited from November 1 at 2:00 p.m. until November 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. on Avenue de Suffren in the 7th arrondissement, between Avenue Octave Gréard and Quai Jacques Chirac.

The Prefecture of Police is also banning all motor vehicles from several roads in the 7th, 15th, and 16th arrondissements on November 2 from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., namely:

  • Bir-Hakeim Bridge;
  • Avenue de Suffren, between Quai Jacques Chirac and Avenue Octave Gréard;
  • Quai Jacques Chirac, between Boulevard de Grenelle and Avenue de la Bourdonnais, not included.

Finally, vehicle traffic will also be prohibited on November 2 from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following roads in the 7th, 8th, 15th, and 16th arrondissements:

  • Place des Martyrs Juifs du Vélodrome d'Hiver;
  • Voie Georges Pompidou, between Pont Mirabeau (not included) and Pont Bir-Hakeim;
  • Pont d'Iéna;
  • Voie Georges Pompidou towards Avenue de New York;
  • Avenue de New York;
  • Varsovie underpass, Seine side;
  • Alma underpass, Seine side;
  • access road to Cours Albert 1er above ground;
  • Cours Albert 1er;
  • Pont des Invalides;
  • Quai d'Orsay;
  • access ramp to the left bank riverfront roads;
  • Promenade Gisèle Halimi;
  • Berges de la Seine exit ramp;
  • Quai Branly;
  • Jacques Chirac Quay.
