Metro, RER, Transilien: Scheduled disruptions and maintenance during this winter break

Work scheduled to take place on Paris and Île-de-France public transport networks during the winter break. The impact? Disruptions are expected on the metro, RER, and Transilien lines from February 21 to March 8, 2026, inclusive. Here’s everything you need to know.

The winter break kicks off this Saturday, February 21, 2026, for Parisians and residents of Île-de-France. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities everywhere in the region until March 8, inclusive! Exhibitions, cinema outings, or even concerts... It's shaping up to be a busy two weeks of outings for children and families during the school holidays.

Planning to travel around the Île-de-France region? Be prepared, as upcoming maintenance work will cause disruptions on several lines of the Paris metro, RER, and Transilien. Here’s everything you need to know about the scheduled service interruptions affecting transport in the Paris area during the winter holidays, from February 21 to March 8, 2026, inclusive.

Line 7bis

From February 21 to March 8, inclusive: service disrupted along the entire line due to construction work.

Line 13

From February 28 to March 2 inclusive: train services will be interrupted between La Fourche and Asnières - Gennevilliers Les Courtilles due to modernization work. Shuttle buses will be provided as replacements.

Service Disruptions and Construction Work on the RER

RER A

From Monday, February 23 to Friday, February 27, with service stopping from 10 p.m. on weekdays: there will be no train service between Nanterre Préfecture and Cergy-le-Haut, as well as between Nanterre Préfecture and Poissy. A dedicated replacement bus service will be available from Nanterre Université, providing access to intermediate stations.

RER B

During weekdays from 10:45 PM: service will be temporarily suspended between Châtelet–Les Halles and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2–TGV, as well as between Mitry–Claye stations.
On Saturday, February 21 and 28, starting at 10:45 PM: disruptions will occur between Gare du Nord and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2, as well as between Gare du Nord and Mitry–Claye. Replacement bus services will be set up from Gare du Nord, stopping at intermediate stations.

RER C

Until February 27th inclusive, Monday to Friday from 7:45 PM: train services halted between Saint-Quentin en Yvelines - Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Javel, as well as between Versailles Château Rive Gauche and Javel.
Until February 28th inclusive, on Saturdays from 9:40 PM and 11:00 PM: service disruptions between Gare d’Austerlitz and Saint-Martin d'Étampes.
Until February 27th inclusive, Monday to Friday from 9:40 PM: services suspended between Pontoise and Avenue Henri Martin.

From February 28th to March 1st inclusive, all weekend long: trains not running between Pontoise and Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel.
On February 28th from 11:00 PM: service suspended between Versailles Château Rive Gauche and Javel.
