With a network spanning the entire territory of the Île-de-France region, the Régie autonome des transports parisiens (RATP) brings together no fewer than 14 metro lines (including several new ones under construction as part of the Grand Paris Express project), several tram lines, five major RER networks and 14 Transilien lines, not counting the countless buses or on-demand transport (TAD). If it is also known for its delays, the RATP now offers its users to download an online certificate to hand to their employer in order to justify the delay (from 15 minutes late), and only if it is caused by the use of the Île-de-France public transport.
How to obtain such a certificate? It’s as simple as logging onto the dedicated web page on the RATP site, filling out the three-minute form with all your details and submitting your request. After that, the certificate will be automatically downloadable on the page.
A practical tip for when public transport is delayed, allowing you to present a document that proves you’re not at fault for your late arrival at work. To stay updated on all disruptions, also check out our dedicated guide:
