The heatwave continues to grip France this Friday, and with all departments of Île-de-France placed on red alert due to the high temperatures and a storm warning forecast for the weekend, the weather is taking a heavy toll on the capital’s cultural life.
Thus, after the early closures of monuments, the attractions at Disneyland Paris being halted, and fireworks canceled, notably for Saint-Jean, other events are threatened by this extreme heat for safety reasons.
Festival-goers are also affected: this weekend was set to host the Solidays, the solidarity festival aimed at fighting HIV/AIDS. The event, which had planned to take place at the Hippodrome de Paris-Longchamp, in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, will have to be canceled for its 28th edition because of the weather. This follows a request from the Police Prefecture to cancel large gatherings to relieve health services already stretched by this heatwave. It also concerns the Pride which was scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026.
So what are the refund terms for ticket-holders? According to Seetickets, which handles the festival’s ticketing, you would have two months to file a refund request, unless the organizer has set different conditions. We should know more shortly.
In the event of cancellation or postponement of an event, and except when resold through one of our secondary ticketing solutions, the refund of the Ticket price will only be issued to the original purchaser.
Moreover, to be eligible and processed by SEE TICKETS, refund requests must be submitted within a maximum deadline of 2 months following the cancellation or postponement of the Event, unless a more restrictive condition is imposed by the event organizer. If applicable, SEE TICKETS will notify customers by email. Beyond this period, requests must be addressed directly to the organizer, whose contact details will be provided.
In a press release, Solidarité Sida also indicated that the decision puts the festival and the organization in a precarious financial position.
