Bad news for users of Paris's public transport. New disruptions are announced in the metro this week. This Thursday, October 8, 2026, access to the Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and Argentine stations will be closed from the start of service, "due to security measures requested by the Police Prefecture," the RATP said.
This autumn, a wave of works is disrupting Metro and RER traffic in Paris and Île-de-France. On line 2, service will be interrupted between Barbès - Rochechouart and Père-Lachaise from 19 to 25 October. Meanwhile, users on line 10 will face a full line closure on 27 and 28 October from 10 p.m.

access to Charles de Gaulle–Étoile and Argentine stations will be
closed from the
start of service on Thursday 8 October 2026 and will remain so until further notice. In addition, trains will not stop at these stations and connections will not be guaranteed. "
The station will reopen on orders from the Police Prefecture," the RATP says.
It should be noted that the
Charles de Gaulle–Étoile station is served by
RER A, as well as the metro lines
1,
2 and
6, three heavily used lines for daily or occasional users. The
Argentine station is served by line 1.
