They know their city and their arrondissement better than anyone. Mayors of Île-de-France, these men and women on the ground accepted our invitation to come to Sortir à Paris, not to talk politics but to share another facet of their mission: to be the guardians of a heritage, of exceptional places and events to be (re)discovered together. Thanks to them, this series of interviews becomes an original travel diary at the heart of our territories.
From Vincennes to Versailles, by way of the major Parisian arrondissements, each elected official has lent himself to the game of cultural exploration, with enthusiasm and sincerity. Their personal views shed light on the richness of a neighborhood theater, the little-known tranquility of a garden or the pride of a place of remembrance. These exchanges are also a way of better understanding the intimate bond they have with their city.
We can't tell you how honored we are to have welcomed each mayor to our offices. Against an economic backdrop that no one can ignore, we've put the microphone to those who passionately bring their region to life. Through their eyes, this series reveals the incredible diversity of the Paris Region. If Sortir à Paris is today the most widely read French regional guide in the world, it's because we share a common conviction: culture and the region are at the heart of our art of living, and must be defended, passed on and celebrated.
Let your journey to the heart of this region we love so much begin:
