For the Nuit des musées 2026, we’re heading to enjoy the collections and activities at the Safran Aircraft and Space Museum. This quirky venue pulls out all the stops to deliver a memorable, free evening on this Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Children and parents can marvel at this unique collection of more than 100 engines from airplanes, rockets, and helicopters, most of which have been restored by the Association des Amis du Musée Safran (aircraft engines) or by former SEP staff (rocket engines).
In the museum halls, you’ll discover the first car fitted with oleopneumatic suspension), the gas-powered motorcycle (Gnome & Rhône D3, 1929), the Mirage III C aircraft and the Alouette II helicopter, but also Gnome & Rhône motorcycles (D5 military and E), airframes, space equipment components and numerous devices that trace the history of aerospace.
As always, the museum also has some unusual immersive and playful experiences to try right away. Find out in detail what awaits you.
