And as every year, the Nuit des Musées gives Parisians, Île-de-France residents, and visitors the chance to discover, for one evening and through a range of activities, the museums of the capital and its region, and to visit many museums after dark, in a different light. A mix of activities, guided tours, storytelling tours, happenings, immersive installations, readings, performances... Something to delight curious minds of all ages.

Over at Citéco in the 17th arrondissement, preparations are underway for a special late-night opening on May 23, 2026. It’s a chance to take on Hôtel Gaillard, whose neo-Renaissance façade masks a museum that presents the inner workings of the economy in a pedagogical, accessible way.     Winding along a walk around Parc Monceau, let yourself be led through one of the most elegant urban ensembles of the 19th century. Once the domain of the Duke of Chartres, the park was deeply reshaped under the Pereire brothers, becoming the heart of a neighborhood where prestige and innovation intersect.

    Sumptuous private mansions, post-Haussmann façades, architectural follies… This stroll unveils the backstage of a setting with a timeless charm, where financial ambitions, urban progress and artistic tastes paint a landscape with enduring allure.

    Founded on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the creation of Paris’s 17th arrondissement, the association Histoire & Patrimoine de Paris 17ᵉ is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and heritage of this district. Led by President Patrick Rollot, the association organizes lectures, guided tours, and publications, aiming to raise residents’ awareness of their neighborhood’s cultural riches.

    On the occasion of the European Night of Museums, admire the building’s remarkable architecture while exploring the economic mechanisms.

    Throughout the evening, students from the Sorbonne School of Economics and the École du Louvre will welcome you to the permanent tour route for new, bite-sized flash tours. Come meet them!

    Students from the École du Louvre offer flash tours full of anecdotes, revealing the architecture, the numismatic collections, and also the Kourtney Roy exhibition. Students from the Sorbonne School of Economics step into the shoes of the greatest economists. In theatrical debates, they clash over ideas and theories. Can you tell them apart?

    A lively and participatory evening, blending heritage, mediation, and the exploration of economic ideas.

    The permanent exhibition is freely accessible throughout the evening. You can also enjoy Inform Café as well as the bookshop, open for the duration of the nocturne.
