What if, for the Night of Museums 2026, you took a stroll over to the Museum of Tools - Claude and Françoise Pigeard Collection? Situated in the heart of Val-d'Oise, in Wy-dit-Joli-Village, this venue is offering, for the 22nd edition of the event, a free evening visit to explore a collection of tools and utensils that epitomize the arts and traditional crafts of the Vexin region.
From the remains of a Gallo-Roman seaside resort to Claude Pigeard's forge, visitors are invited to enter the heart of the history of the region and of this establishment hosting workshops, guided tours and events. Lovers of green walks can also take advantage of the museum's pretty, medieval-inspired gardens, bathed in a bucolic atmosphere.
Today, the museum and gardens provide a sumptuous setting for theatrical and choreographic performances, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and artist residencies. Visitors can also take advantage of touch-screen tablets to digitize information and simplify access. In short, a great place to learn all about the tools and their functions!
