This is your chance to discover the sublime heritage of Seine-et-Marne. The 77 département has a wealth of treasures to discover, and a rich program for this year's Nuit des Musées. One example is the Château de Rentilly, located between Bussy-Saint-Martin and Bussy-Saint-Georges. This beautiful 16th-century residence now houses a center dedicated to contemporary art. Rentilly is also taking part in the Nuit des Musées event. Want to discover the program? See below:
"La classe, l'oeuvre!" is a program that enables schoolchildren to familiarize themselves with the museum's collections through artist-led sessions, accompanied by a mediator, around a particular work.
Throughout the year, classes from Marne et Gondoire have been working on a work featured in the exhibition Ah quelles familles! This year, the spotlight is on an engraving by Paul-Émile Colin entitled Après le travail (After Work).
To mark European Museum Night, we invite you to discover and share in their work.
For this European Museum Night, we invite you to follow a tour with two voices: that of a mediator from the Parc culturel de Rentilly - Michel Chartier, and that of a magnificent soprano. While the former will tell you all - or almost all - about the works in the exhibition, the latter will let you hear French songs as well as arias from the classical repertoire. A delightful, suspended moment to start the evening.
With Stéphanie Varnerin, soprano and Christine Veysseire, mediator at the Parc culturel de Rentilly - Michel Chartier.
Jean-Jacques Tainier, director of the Annexe de l'Hôtel, is found dead by his brother in his office during a seminar, with a work of art on the floor beside him... And you've been assigned to solve the murder. As a team, armed with your sleuth's notebook, you'll embark on this investigation and follow in the footsteps of a waitress involved in trafficking in fake paintings, a journalist supposedly writing an article on hotels and châteaux when in reality he's spying on the waitress, and finally Charles Tainier, the victim's brother and creditor... What were all these "beautiful" people doing at the time of death? And what happened? There are so many mysteries to uncover this European Museum Night!
By Les instants volés.
A lovely evening to enjoy with family and friends!
