The Nuit des Musées is a major cultural event that takes place every year throughout Europe. This exceptional event invites art and culture lovers and the curious to rediscover museums, monuments, castles and other cultural institutions in an original and original way.
These venues open their doors, often for free, to offer a special program packed with extraordinary nocturnal moments, self-guided or guided tours and unusual activities among which you’ll find concerts, performances, shows, artistic installations, and creative workshops. Paris and the Île-de-France region are in on the action, so don’t miss the next edition, which takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
In the Val d'Oise, and more specifically in Gonesse, theprefiguration space of theformer Musée d'Histoire et de Société (closed in 2013) awaits you at the heart of the Pôle Culturel de Coulanges. It's here that you can discover the collections gathered around the History of Education, as well as the history of the Rural Hospital in the Île-de-France region, while awaiting the conception of a future museum project supported by the town council.
Why not use Museum Night to discover a museum… before it even opens?
Young and old are invited to share a friendly evening at La Fabrique du musée, the place where the future history-and-society museum for the region is taking shape.
Explore the exhibition “En attendant le musée” and go behind the scenes of a project in the making: objects, collections, testimonies… Follow the progress, learn how a museum is born, share your ideas, and dive into the building-site adventure…
