The MAM, Paris Museum of Modern Art, is taking part in the 22nd edition of the Nuit des musées to offer us a different way of experiencing art. A free museum all year round, the institution presents a rich view of modern art, with a collection of over 10,000 works, temporary exhibitions that are paid, and numerous activities for both kids and adults. An opportunity to explore contemporary art and learn more about modern art movements.

Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Paris Museum of Modern Art pulls back the curtain on its Night of Museums program. It's a chance to revisit its 20th- and 21st-century works with the broadest audience yet, featuring pieces by Annette Messager, Etienne-Martin, Bernard Dufour, Christian Boltanski, Gilles Aillaud, and Antonio Recalcati. Nuit des Musées 2026 × Eun-Me Ahn Company | Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris | 140th anniversary of Korea–France diplomatic relations

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For European Museum Night, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris presents the Eun-Me Ahn Company performance “Nuit Blanche des Fauves — Nuit de Baekman (白蠻)” as part of the “Korea Focus,” marking the 140-year diplomatic partnership between Korea and France, organized by the Korean Cultural Center in collaboration with Paris Musées. The evening offers a rare encounter between contemporary Korean performance and the historic space of French modern art.

The performance begins with two versions of Henri Matisse’s La Danse: La Danse inachevée and La Danse de Paris, shown in the Matisse Room. Created during the mural commission for the Barnes Foundation in the early 1930s, these works reveal the evolution of a single motif and illustrate how Matisse conceived “dance” as a fusion of space, bodies, rhythm, and color. In this storied venue, Eun-Me Ahn revisits the questions Matisse left open, directing them toward today’s bodies, movements, and audience participation.

This event was conceived in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center.
