It's an event music lovers eagerly anticipate! Every June 21, live music resonates across France for the now famous Fête de la Musique.

For more than 40 years now, this popular, festive and free celebration fills musicians with joy as they dust off their instruments and share their passion with as many people as possible. Since the festival’s launch in 1982, the free concerts held in honor of the occasion have put smiles on the faces of many French men and women.

At the Fête de la Musique, which highlights the diversity of the musical landscape by bringing together amateurs and professionals, all genres are celebrated, with rock, jazz, rap, metal, classical music, blues, electro, and reggae taking center stage...

No surprise that the music-friendly tips are plentiful in Paris, with free concerts popping up on every street corner across several districts of the capital. Elsewhere in Île-de-France, events are plentiful too, such as in Houilles.

This Île-de-France town in the Yvelines once again joins the Fête de la Musique by inviting fresh talents to take to its streets and various neighborhoods. After hosting La Dame Blanche in 2022, Gasandji in 2023, La Ganga Calé in 2024 and Kirá last year, which artists have the honor of taking part in this Fête de la Musique 2026 in Houilles?

Sunday, June 21, 2026, the town of the Yvelines invites residents to Rue Gambetta to groove to the sounds of Raúl Monsalve y los Forajidos. For this new Fête de la Musique, Venezuelan bassist and composer Raúl Monsalve—backed by his band—will fuse Africa’s and Venezuela’s indigenous traditions with psychedelic funk, jazz, and experimental electronic music. Right beforehand, at 6 p.m., you’ll also catch the Chœur du Sud, followed by local groups.
