On Sunday, June 21, the symbolic date of the summer solstice, Dourdannais residents and passing visitors are invited to experience an electro night headlined by the artist Bigkik. A bold lineup that embodies the spirit of the Fête de la Musique: free, accessible to all, and open to discovery. In an unexpectedly medieval setting, synthetic sounds and pulsing rhythms will make the castle walls resonate for an edition that's as festive as it is eclectic.

We note that this castle, 800 years old,  traces a portion of Dourdan’s history, the cradle of the Capétiens. It was enriched by the Duke of Berry in the 15th century and later converted into a prison from 1672, housing inmates until 1852. Bought by a private individual, it was bequeathed to the Guyot family in 1863 and turned into a private residence. Now owned by the town since 1961, the ensemble, listed as a Monument Historique since 1964, has undergone substantial restoration work.
