Guitar, bass, drums, double bass, violin, piano, flute or harp... what instrument will you be playing on June 21 for the new Fête de la musique? Every year on the same date, budding musicians take to the streets to share their passion with as many people as possible.
This year, this great, beloved, and celebratory public event—which has kept its appeal more than 40 years after its launch in France—returns on Sunday, June 21, 2026 with a flurry of free concerts spanning a wide range of styles. Rock, blues, jazz, electro, world music, rap, R&B, and French variety... on June 21, all musical genres are showcased to satisfy everyone’s tastes and desires, and to celebrate the Fête de la musique in a friendly, warm atmosphere.
But what exactly is on the program for June 21 in Paris and the Île-de-France region? If you live in the Seine-Saint-Denis, then head to the town of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. A reminder: the towns of Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte-sur-Seine officially merged on January 1, 2025, creating a new commune. With a population of around 150,000, it becomes the second most populous city in Île-de-France after Paris.
The Île-de-France town of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, which regularly hosts talented artists for Music Day, is this time inviting Martiniquaise artist Perle Lama. The zouk and R&B singer will perform at Parc Frédérick-Lemaître for a one-off, free concert.
