Rock workshop, bossa nova, electro, French pop: Music Day 2026 in Torcy

While many people look forward to June 21, to celebrate the arrival of summer in style, others can't wait for the famous and unmissable Fête de la Musique. Every June 21 since 1982, the French take to the streets, bars and restaurants, parks and gardens, to make live music resound throughout the day and evening at free concerts.

In Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, there's no shortage of great music venues, from rock concerts on café terraces to classical music in museums, from jazz artists in churches to electro DJ sets in squares.

This year, June 21 falls on a Sunday, and to be frank, the musical events are set to be plentiful! We’re heading notably to Seine-et-Marne, where the commune of Torcy plans to set the tempo, aiming to give its residents a fresh edition of the Fête de la musique that’s convivial, family-friendly and festive.

Music Day 2025 in Torcy: the program

Saturday, June 20 — 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM
Join us on the town hall forecourt to celebrate Music Day!
Bar and refreshments with RCCVM (Rugby Club de Champs s/ Marne Val Maubuée)
The program on the Torcéenne stage:

• Rock workshop at the Torcy Conservatory (4 electric guitars, 1 bass, 1 drum kit, 2 female vocalists)
• Groupe C Rouge Intense Music: A six‑piece lineup of seasoned, passionate musicians, the C. Rouge Intense Music band tackles covers spanning French varieties, pop, from bossa nova to R&B, from the 1970s to today.
• Groupe Zinc: electro-pop — music that takes you on a journey.
• Balaphonics and Mary May: Afro brass band

Sunday, June 21 — 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The conservatory will take over Charmettes Park:

• From 2:30 p.m.: small ensembles (duos, trios, etc.) set up in various spots for you to listen as you wander
• At 4:00 p.m.: the Vaires/Torcy extra orchestra will perform at the foot of Château des Charmettes
