Attention : due to the red heatwave alert, some events for the 2026 Fête de la musique may be canceled, postponed, or altered. Be sure to check the latest information before you head out.
Rock, jazz, hip-hop, classical, blues, reggae, variété, electro or even metal and zouk... On Sunday 21 June 2026, all music takes center stage for the Fête de la musique. As every year on the same date, aspiring musicians grab their instruments and let live music resonate. For one day, free concerts multiply in the streets, of course, but also in parks and gardens, bars and restaurants, churches, or even in the museums.
It should be noted that the Fête de la Musique is a large, popular and free music festival held every June 21. Each year, it invites musicians of all levels—from amateurs to professionals—to celebrate the live music and to highlight the breadth and diversity of musical practices, as well as all music genres.
Created by the Ministry of Culture in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has since spread abroad, becoming a national event in several countries, including Luxembourg, Italy, Greece, Peru, and Colombia. Over the years, the Fête de la Musique has learned to carve its own path, reinvent itself, and become an iconic event that people look forward to every June 21.
On June 21, 2026, for Music Day, several top picks await in Paris’s 1st arrondissement. Italian artist Gabriele will meet you in front of the Bourse de Commerce (Forum des Halles exit) for a moment unlike any other. During this special evening, the singer will invite the audience to participate in a musical experience, turning the concert into an interactive journey where the music brings all the spectators together.
