On June 21, the Fête de la musique returns: this famed cultural celebration brings together musicians both on the streets and in bars and restaurants, in parks and gardens, and even in museums and institutions.
As a reminder, the Fête de la Musique was launched in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture. This 2026 edition marks the event’s 44th year of acclaimed, free music that pleases audiences nationwide. Like previous years, this edition invites us to “emphasize the principles that underpinned its creation: a festive, popular, and spontaneous event that speaks to all audiences and shines a light on and supports amateur practices,” according to the Ministry of Culture’s site.
This year’s program promises to be as diverse and rich as ever, with numerous free concerts to discover and enjoy across the capital in four corners of Paris, and all over Île-de-France, including Bussy-Saint-Georges.
For this new edition of the Fête de la musique, the Île-de-France town of Seine-et-Marne invites you to mark Sunday, June 21, 2026, with a musical evening that aims to take you back in time!
On June 21, 2026, the town of Bussy-Saint-Georges will host the tribute band Eltonology, who are eager to pay homage to the legendary British singer and pianist by performing several of his iconic hits. Expect classics such as "Tiny Dancer", "Sacrifice", "I'm Still Standing", "Rocket Man", and "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word". This free Eltonology concert is not to be missed on June 21 from 6:30 pm at square Vitlina.
