Taxi 5, an action-comedy directed by and starring Franck Gastambide, airs on TMC on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 9:25 p.m. Released in cinemas on April 11, 2018, this fifth installment of the franchise also features Malik Bentalha, Bernard Farcy, Ramzy Bedia, Monsieur Poulpe and Salvatore Esposito.

Sylvain Marot, a seasoned Parisian detective and ace driver, is forcibly reassigned to the Marseille municipal police. Gibert, the former commissioner who is now mayor, assigns him to nab a gang of Italian robbers who use powerful sports cars to flee the scene.

To track down the famed white taxi and square off with the gang's fleet, Sylvain teams up with Eddy Maklouf, Daniel Morales's great-nephew. Portrayed by Malik Bentalha, this bumbling ride-hailing driver becomes his partner in a new spree of chases across Marseille.

Franck Gastambide, who burst onto the cinema scene with Les Kaïra, returns to the saga’s core codes while introducing a new duo. Samy Naceri and Frédéric Diefenthal do not take part in this installment, but several familiar faces appear, notably Bernard Farcy in the role of Gibert and Édouard Montoute as Alain Trésor.

The film continues the arc of the first four installments while shifting the baton to Sylvain and Eddy. TMC will extend the evening with Taxi 4, airing at 11:25 p.m.
