In this haunted house, it's the ghosts who want to get rid of the living. Beetlejuice is airing on Gulli on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 9:05 PM. Tim Burton directs Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder in this 1988 film, slated for Halloween night.
After their accidental deaths, Adam and Barbara Maitland return to their house, now occupied by the Deetz family. Unable to drive out the new tenants, they hire Beetlejuice, a “bio-exorcist” whose methods are, shall we say, invasive. Lydia, the Deetz daughter played by Winona Ryder, holds a special place in this arrangement: she can communicate with both ghosts.
The film hit French theaters on December 14, 1988, predating Beetlejuice Beetlejuice by thirty-six years, a project in which Tim Burton reunites Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. That airing brings the characters’ story back to its starting point.
