In 2025, Oasis made a triumphant return to the stage with a tour across the UK, before heading to the United States, Asia, Australia, and South America. Fans of the Brit Pop legends will soon get a chance to see the brothers Gallagher reunite on the big screen in a documentary produced by Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders. Here’s everything we know so far about this highly anticipated cinematic project.

Will Oasis hit the road again in the coming months? If so, when can fans expect the Gallagher brothers to announce their upcoming tour dates? For now, the question remains unanswered. However, fans will soon have reason to celebrate thanks to an exclusive documentary produced by Steven Knight, the creator of the series "Peaky Blinders". Also a screenwriter for films like "The Promises of Shadows", "Millennium: What Doesn't Kill Me", and "Maria", Steven Knight is a devoted Oasis fan. The British filmmaker has even co-written and co-directed, alongside Anthony Byrne, the music video for Liam Gallagher’s single "One of Us".

With this upcoming documentary about Oasis's final tour, Steven Knight is gearing up to take yet another step forward. While the release date hasn’t been set yet, the film Live '25 is already well into production, currently in editing. “We’ve cut it down to four hours, so there’s still more to trim,”

Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who previously made the documentary about LCD Soundsystem, "Shut Up And Play The Hits", this new film will follow the eagerly awaited reunion tour of Liam and Noel Gallagher. The tour, titled "Oasis Live ’25 Tour", marks the band's return to the stage. To remind everyone, the legendary Britpop band played over 40 concerts between July 4 and November 23, 2025, including five shows in Manchester—the city where they first made their mark.

During his interview with the Project Big Screen podcast, Steven Knight openly expressed his excitement. " It's phenomenal," he declared. " It's a documentary with a storyline, you know what I mean? There’s a real narrative. And then we developed it... you'll see when you watch it," the producer added.

According to NME, Steven Knight's team was granted access to the meetings and rehearsal spaces that took place ahead of Oasis’s historic reunion last summer.

It's worth noting that Oasis has previously been the subject of several documentaries. Notably, "Supersonic" from 2016, directed by Mat Whitecross, and "Knebworth 1996" from 2021, directed by Jake Scott.
