France Télévisions is taking advantage of this cinema release to broadcast, on Monday, 27 April 2026, "Michael Jackson, the Other Side of a Legend". Coming up on France 4 from 9 p.m., this documentary series, directed by Rob Coldstream, offers a fresh, revealing look at the extraordinary career of the 'King of Pop', who died in 2009 at the age of 50.
Through rare personal archives, investigative footage and the testimony of those close to him, the series thus explores the genius, the controversies and the tragedies that shaped the life and career of Michael Jackson. It takes us back to his childhood and early days with the Jackson Five, while also tracing his rise to global stardom and the legendary fame that culminated in a dramatic downfall following the first sexual-abuse allegations in 1993.
In three episodes, each lasting 58 minutes, "Michael Jackson: The Other Side of a Legend" notably reveals how the entertainment industry shaped—and ultimately broke—the King of Pop, while also exploring the shadows that continue to haunt the artist's legacy.
