At nightfall, there’s no longer any need for walls or red seats to enjoy a cinema screening. In the Yvelines, outdoor projections en plein air are now part of the summer backdrop, driven in particular by Yvelines Ciné and by town initiatives. Poissy adds its reel to the lineup with three free evenings, where the big screen is set up outdoors for the duration of a film.

The big screen hits the road again in the Yvelines. From July 13 to August 29, 2026, Yvelines Ciné stops at 75 venues across the department, with free screenings at dusk. An opportunity to catch a movie under the stars, from village to village. [Read more]
The event kicks off well before the first frame. Doors open at 7 p.m. with a lineup of activities to amp up the vibe before showtime: food trucks, a trivia quiz, the Accrocamp night, and live music are on the program. Audiences can then pull out their blankets or unfold their folding chairs and take their seats before the screening, set for 9:45 p.m. When the sun finally sets, the film takes over and turns the space into an open-air cinema.
